Just as we did when demonic spirits surfaced at our church.. just as we did when our Pastor was embattled in a court fight for the custody of our ministry.. just as we did when we were victorious... just as we did when short-term defeats dampened our spirits... just as we did when.......

The New Olivet is a PRAYING ministry, and it is through our Faith, our Teaching, and our Obedience that we are instructed to turn to OUR GOD for clarity of thought, understanding, and wisdom when all around us seems so confusing... It was PRAYER which was encouraged on the New Olivet Discussion Board 1 year ago, as we dealt with the tragedy of 9/11.  A brief reflection on the discussion as it unfolded between September 11- September 15, 2001

Please pray a prayer of clarity for the leaders of this country as we try to sort out the events of apparent terrorism accross the counrty this morning. Many of us have family and friends in the affected areas and there may be more to come. Know that GOD is able and the ultimate decision is not up to man

This is not only physical warfare, but spiritual warfare. We must continue to pray that this tragedy will end. As of 10:26am, it was just reported that a bomb has also been located in a school near the World Trade Center. If only for a minute, take time out of your day today (RIGHT NOW) to pray, not just for those individuals who have been directly affected, but for the country as a whole. Satan, you will be defeated!!!

Never ever take this life for granted. In the blink of God's eye it could be different. God showed me this day in dream a couple of months ago and I begged him not to let it happen. And speaking with my mother today she also had a similar dream recently. Expect God to be God sooner or later

Let us pray that the leaders of our country be guided by God as they make the decisions for the American people. Please do not let us blindly retaliate and prolong the grief that has already gripped our country. God please guide and order their steps. Continue to grant your mercies and grace on those who have lost loved ones in New York, Washington and Pittsburgh. Please continue to protect us and those abroad. Let your will prevail. Let us all agree that it is so in Jesus name. Amen

Vanessa, as usual, God has indeed placed A WORD in you. You and I have shared the experience of visions through dreams. I had dreamed my mom's funeral three times long before last week when it actually accurred...wow! And I have had similar experiences about people and places that I would come in contact later in life. And I would, in that instant, realize that I've done/been/or seen "such and such" before. This is a spiritual warfare/attack and I am fully persuaded that God will supply all of our needs and he will direct our steps if we continue to remain focused on HIM.

From Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost For His Highest" Daily Devotional:

"There are times in spiritual life when there is confusion, and it is no way out to say that there ought not to be confusion. It is not a question of right and wrong, but a question of God taking you by a way which in the meantime you do not understand, and it is only by going through the confusion that you will get at what God wants."

Just a thought about the attack on America...

It's still amazes me how America forgets about petty differences and rally together when there is a great calamity. It feels pretty good when everyone is in unity and our "spirit" is high. It's just so sad that it takes a tragedy for that unity to take place. God bless "U.S.".

Recently, over the course of the last past three weeks, we have experienced an unleashing of many unpleasant and unfortunate occurrances. Let not our hearts and minds grow weary, afraid and troubled because there is a God that will unvail the good in what the Enemy has presented for bad. I, myself, grow challenged by the trickeries of the Enemy frequently. Let us continue to keep our hearts, minds and spirits focused on God. Let us continue to lift up each other and learn from it all. And may we be strong and rejoiced, realizing that this has been fortold to come forth...

Malinda, Thank you for sharing this "Thought" with me. It is Tough and Spiritually Draining when working in the business world. I am so glad someone else recognizes what we go through day by day. But God is still on "The Throne" and through Agape Love and Holiness we can overcome the Devil that's trying to attack us. "HE IS A DEFEATED FOE."

National Day of Prayer

It is funny to see a nation that banned prayer is schools and other gatherings to have it's leader call for a national day of prayer. "God will not be mocked." I heard someone say that it's not like we needed him to suggest this order because this event has already driven our nation to our knees in prayer. "If the people that are called by my name would repent and humble themselves, then shall I hear from heaven and heal the land". Exhalt the name of Jesus today. Repent

Lord, God of Heaven, The Universe, and The Earth. We thank you for blessings us inspite of our transgressions. We have no idea as what is in our future, but we can see our past, and despite the way we have acted toward you and your word, you have blessed us one more day to make Our calling and election sure. Right now our nation is in that of sorrow, pain, heartache, and revenge for what has happened. We ask for your wisdom and your guidance. We ask that you touch the hearts of those who lead our nations. That they may work according to your will. Help us to not get so beside ourselves that we forget to take hold of your guidance as we move forward. We thank you again for potecting us and touching the hearts of the many families affected by the tragedies of the last few, days. We ask that you would bless this nation that it may be what you would have it become. Father bless those who are sick from injuries, bless those who are working tirelessly to rescue victims and clean up. Bless those who may still be stuck and alive in the buildings that have collapsed. Keep us in all that we do that, we bless not ourselves, but bless and point others to your wonderful grace. Forgive us for our sins, and bless us again to make it through this tough time. AMEN

Isn't it amazing?

Isn't it amazing how people tend to forget that God is in control? As Pastor has said many many times, it is time to stop "playing" church. If you keep playing church, you might discover that you've come to the end of the performance and the curtain might close before your encore. This is God's show; we are merely just players in His show, under His direction. He is the Creator, Producer and Director. I think the events of this week are truly evident of this fact. God bless
